DIVERSION OF SHIP.

REQUEST TO MINISTER. (By TelegTapb.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. Urging the need for prompt action to relieve the congestion of frozen meat stores at New Plymouth and Waitara, Mr. F. L. Frost, M.P., eomunicated with the Minister of Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, to-night, asking for diversion of a ship to New Plymouth. Mr. Nash promised to make investigations and communicate the result to Mr. Frost to-morrow morning. It is feared that unless it is possible to relieve the congestion, a number of men at the Waitara freezing works will have to be paid off in the meantime.
