SALEK CASE HEARING.

FINAL REACHED. j The hearing of the petition by Queenie Amelia Mavis Salek (Mr. Leary) for judicial separation from her husband, Victor Salek (Mr. Singer) was continued before Mr. Justice Callan in the Supreme Court to-day. Concluding his address, opened yesterday afternoon, Mr. Singer commented on various phases of the evidence where there was conflict between petitioner and respondent. He submitted that the balance of credibility was with the respondent, and that the real object of the petition was not custody of the children, but was more money, and that the petitioner had not discharged the onus of proving her allegation of persistent cruelty. This afternoon Mr. Leary was occupied in his closing address, directed to detailed criticism of the respondents reply to the various incidents of petitioner's complaints to indicate unreliability.
