Avalanche Sweeps French Village. SECOND SINCE FRIDAY. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 11 a.m.) TOULOUSE, March 26. A fresh avalanche has swept the village of Bareges. Residents on the outskirts lowered 40 villagers to safety from top storeys. Additional casualties are unknown. The damage is estimated at £20,000. Skiers are taking food to isolated workmen. The bodies of 13 victims of the first avalanche, which occurred last Friday, have been recovered.
