RADIANT LIVING.

A ' large number of members and friends of the S.S.R.L. attended a social evening held on Saturday in the Harmony Hall, Wellesley Street Weet. The roome were tastefully decorated in pink dahlias and gold marigolds. The evening commenced with community singing led by Mr. Edmund Hillary. A most enjoyable programme of elocutionary, musical and vocal items followed. Among the artists who entertained the guests were Mies Birch and Mr. Batkin, who gave a moat amusing and humorous sketch, while some delightful musical items were given by Miss Sunday Mowbray. Mr. Gard and Miss Boniface eang several duets which were very much enjoyed. Recitatione were given by Mr. F." Cook and Mr. Edmund Hillary. Two competitions preceded the serving of a most enjoyable supper, which was followed by dancing till twelve.
