Henning, preedent o€ the Auckland Wrestling Aeociation at the annual meeting. laot evening. Beplying to a etateinenfc by. a. member that there was a possibility of another a—oriation being formed in AuQkland, Mr. Henning said that there was' little reason to fear opposition, as thet eocceasiul activities of the Auckland Association were due to the fact that the promoters had the best interests of the sport at heart. Sβ further attributed the support of the public to the fact that the funds of the association were used in fostering amateur wrestling.

The work of the association's announcer. Mr. V. Salek, was eulogised by several members. The chairman said that Mr. Salek had given hi* service* for the past eight years and was extremely popular with the public. It was unanimously agreed that appreciative reference of his efforts should be made in tue ..unutes. Appreciation •of the service. TinJned by the referees, Messrs. J. Mci*tsui and F. Murphy, was recorded. , It was announced that a strong team, probably the strongest seen in Xew Zealand, would be arriving durinjr the next few months. The treasurer. Mr. K. Porter, stated that Loft;- BJomfield would arrive in Xew Zr-aland during the second week in April, and it was expected that ho would oppose John Katan in the openin- bout on May 1. A letter from Canada stated that Katan was one of the few wrestlers who had gained a win over Karl M.Orendy. The match committee reports! that it had arranged for visits from the world"s foremost wrestlers during the coming season. Commenting on the annnaJ report and i.-ihnce-sheet the president referred lo the attention being paid to amateur wrestling.
