Much Troop Movement To Tunis
And Libya.

LONDON, March 3.
I Tension between Italy and France I in northern Africa is growing hourly. I Signor Mussolini is reported to have ! informed Mr. Chamberlain that he intends to send many thousands of additional troops to Libya. This is in reply to French troop movements near Tunis.
The Governor of Libya, Marshal Badoglio, has concluded his inspection of fortifications and has hastened to Rome to report to Signor Mussolini.
It is estimated that approximately 140,000 crtick troops are now under arms in French North Africa. The military reserves, ammunition, and supplies are enormous. "France will be able to arm 600,000 men within six months," a military expert told a "Daily Telegraph" representative. The French naval base of Bizerta is almost impregnable. Deadly New Gons. A number of the new 90 millimetre anti-aircraft guns have been installed to strengthen the existing 75 mm. bat- j teries. The new guns are stated to be the most deadly in existence, firing 20 J rounds a minute to a height of 30,000 J feet. J
Italians living on the French island of Corsica are not responding to Signer Mussolini's call to return to Italy. i
