TAKEN OVER BY STATE.
AUCKLAND TO CAMBRIDGE.
Another road passenger service has been acquired by the Railway Department. As from yesterday Kelly's Auck-land-Cambridge service will be run by the road services' section of the Railway Department. The Department now controls all services between Auckland and Rotorua, having previously taken over the Auck-land-Hamilton and the Auckland-Rotorua services. . Last week a number of road service operators visited Wellington to discuss future possible acquisitions. Mr. H. Brown, the Auckland manager of the road services section, said that he could not say whether the A uekland-Bay of Plenty services would be' taken over by. the Railway Department, and that the same applied to the -uckland-Whangarei ■• connections.
