FAREWELL AFTERNOON.

An enjoyable afternoon was given by Miss Anne Quayle at her residence in Alfred Street recently, when a number of guests were invited to bid farewell to Mrs. Cuthbert McCaw, who leaves by the Niagara to-day with her husband, Mr. McCaw, to * attend the Medical Conference to be held in Melbourne. The various rooms and lounge were colourful with roses and hydrangeas.

Among those present were: Mrs. Wilfred Gunn, Mrs. George Coats. Mrs. Coats, sen., Mrs. H. F. Holmden, Mrs. W. Napier, Mrs. Gray, Mrs. H. T. Merritt, Mrs. Eliot Davis. Mrs. Raymond Sheath. Mrs. Renton Watt, Mrs."Cuthbert Mitford. Miss .Muriel Darling, Miss L. Moir, Miss Nora Kissling. Miss Quayle wore a beige and nigger brown frock, and the guest of honour chose a black suede jumper suit and black hat.
