AUCKLAND CROQUET.
THE ANNUAL TOURNAMENT. ! PROGRESS IN CHAMPION DOUBLES. The championship tournament of the Auckland Croquet Association was continued yesterday, when good progress was made with the doubles and handicap matches. The conditions were again good. A start will be made to-day with the senior championship singles and junior handicap singles. Results of yesterday's play in the championship doubles:— Section A.—At Carlton : Mesdames Burrett and .Tarvie beat Mesdames Dukes and Patton, McGregor and Seymour and Bennett and Wright, and won Section A: Mesdames Bennett and Wright beat Mesdames Kenny and Maiden and Dukes and Patton : Mesdames Cronin. and Tucker beat Mesdames Kenny and Maiden; Mesdames Clarke and Watson beat Mesdames Burrett and Jarvie: Mesdames'Collin and Robertsoil beat Mesdames Clarke and Watson and Cronin and Tucker: Mesdames McGregor and Seymour btijt Mesdames Cronin and Tucker: Mesdames Kenny and Maiden beat Mesdames Collin and Robinson.
Section B. —At Remuera : Mrs. Smith and Miss Keatley beat Mesdames Ellis and Henderson : Mesdames Maxwell and Windsor beat Mesdames Baker and Schubert. Ellis and Henderson, and Mrs. Smith and Miss Keatley: Mesdames Hilton and Parker-Hill beat Mesdames Philpott and Hoskiu, Baker and Schubert, and Sessions and Flemming; Mesdames Guthrie and Williams beat Mrs. Smith and Miss Keatley; Mesdames Philpott. and Hoskin beat Mesdames Sessions And Flemming.
Section C.—At Mount Hobson: Mesdames Carson and.
