URGENT APPEAL.

SPANISH CHILDREN SUFFER.

WELLINGTON, Friday.

A cabled appeal for immediate aid for 2,000,000 Spanish children in France has been received from Paris- by the secretary of the Wellington scction of the Spanish Medical Aid Committee.

"The war is continuing and expeditions are arriving in spite of French and British recognition," the message states. "Our responsibilities are greater and our power to save lives undiminished. We call for new and more vigorous efforts for funds to purchase milk and other food to relieve suffering and dis-' tress."
