TALMEKSTOK NORTH, this day
The twelve-a-side <-i'ii-k«'t match between Sir J alien Calm's team and the Minor Associations wae resumed this morning, with the Enplishnicu 102 on the board for four wickets.
The New Zcalander* had lx?eii disfor 20(i yesterday, although at one only four men were out

Like Monday, when lie #oon dUthe o|ieiiin.2 ]>air. kludge and Dyson, the in w Test bowler. I'ritchard. met with early ciicct-s.-', and before lioon lie had accounted for and Lush. At that stage hi* figures were four for till, hi* two wickets to-day costing only live rune. Phillipson In Difficulties. In •contrast to Yesterday's overcast sky bright sunshine flooded the sports ground this morning'. A fresh breeze still blew across the pitch from the weet. The wicket was dry and appeared u> be perfect for the batsmen.
After Hardstaff (76) and Phillipson (2.5) reopened to the bowling of Pritchard. Hards faff took a single from tinfirst delivery. The second ball bumped up awkwardly, striking Phillipson on the body and flying to second slip.
Pritchard'e speed looked faster than that of Lush yesterday, although Lush is reputedly one of the fastest bowlers in England.
Reaney took over the attack from the other end, and his fifth ball, snicked by Phillipson just out of the reach of Pritchnrd at first slip, careered to the boundarv.
The first ball of Pritchard's second over spelt the end for Phillipsou, the Lancashire batsman playing it on to his stumps.
.Another sensation occurred when the fast bowler uprooted Lush's off stump. The batenian had not even seen it!
England Ahead for Six Wickets.
After Pritchard had bowled four over* this morning for two wickets and 13 runs he was replaced by McCoy (formerly of Parnell).
Hard~taff steadily augmented his total, turning one nicely to leg to make hi* tally 97. Reaney, after sending down two overs, wae relieved bv Mur' chison. The visitors passed' their opponent*' score with six wickets in hand. Play had been in progress threequarters of an hour.
The English Teet batsman shortly afterwards stepped into a ball from Murchkon. and drove it to the fence to bring up his century. He immediately opened out and forced bowling changes repeatedly.
Hardstaffs batting wae now delightful to watch, and the side's 250 was reached in 206 minutes. Hie fifthwicket partnership with Smith (the Essex all-rounder) wae broken when Reaney snapped up a enick by Smith, off Meuli.
