French Troops In Somalilandl
To Be Reinforced.
DANGEROUS SITUATION.

ROME, February 20.
The reinforcement of the French garrison in Somaliland is regarded in official circles as the "worsening of an already dangerous situation." It is strongly indicated that Italy will take "adequate precautionary military measures."
It was reported from Paris yesterday that French colonial troops have re-/ occupied the territory along the; Eritrean , frontier, north-east Africa, ceded by France to Italy under the Koine j Agreement of 1935. Italy denounced the agreement.
The British United Press Jibou/ti correspondent says that several Italians and natives are reported to have been arrested on charges of espionage, further arrests are expected.

AGREEMENT WITH BRITAIN.

LONDON, February 20.
The Under-Secretary (for Foreign Affairs, Mr. R. A. Butler, safid that Italy's intimation that she is sending 30,000 troops to ensure the security of Libya is not regarded as a breach of the Anglo-Italian but he admitted that it would restore the garrison to its strength before, the agreement.
