ASSISTANT MASTERS.
NEW SAMRY SCALE.
The annual meeting of the Auckland Primary Schools Assistant Masters' Association was held at the Fabian Clubrooms before a good attendance. A lively discussion centred round the new salary scale for teachers and its effect upon assistant masters in particular. It was decided to set up a sub-committee to obtain the opinion of all assistant masters relative to the operation of the new salary scale.
The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. L. J. Meek; vice-president, SP-_*\ Taylor; honorary secretarv, Mr. G. R. Inglis; executive, Messrs. W. Burgess. J. Broonifield. T. Hamilton. A. Matb»son and R. Tizard: thief steward, Mr. M. Winter: entertainment. Messrs. K. V, aid, C. Wood. K. Nairn and Mills,
