F. W. Dickson (chairman) said the rule was definite and an applications nihst be first approved by the management of emergency committee, consisting of the president, chairman and secretary. This was very necessary to prevent clubs strengthening lower grade teams When matches' of vital interest were Being decided. The emergency committee could be interviewed before any match on Saturdays. It was decided to present E. Movie, Manukau srnWf B grade, with a set of biitting gloves for making a century last Saturday. The unsatisfactory position in the second grade due fe the temporary Withdrawal ol the Teachers' Training College team and the defaulting of PohsOhby Was mentioned by the secretary, Mr. R. F\ Tavlor, vrhd stated that both the Avondale and Suburbs clubs' *ere affected by rfiatiipidflftnlp points. Shburbs had so far played a tnatcli les* thftn other second grade teams,

A deputation front file Teachers' Training College appealed for reinstatement into the second grade owing to the difficulty in fulfilling engagements during the eeifege vacation.
