LANCASHIRE SOCIETY.
ANNUAL PICNIC HELD.
About- 500 members and friends were aboard the Ducbess when she sailed for Oneroa on Sunday for the annual picnic of the Lancashire Society. Sports were held on the beach, and later in the afternoon the prizes were distributed to the winners. Great amusement was caused by the naildriving competition, which was held for the lady members. Ice-cream, oranges, soft drinks and sweets were distributed among the children, who had a happy day.
