THE BIRDS ARE HERE.
(By Lorna Mateer, Barnard Street, Matamata). Now the springtime birds are here. Singing, piping, trilling, See thetn flit from tree to tree, frolic gaily as can be, Spring must now be very near, Hear their song so thrilling. See how merrily they play, Flitting, hopping, playing, Let us just be like the birds. Giving jriy and kindly words, Let lis tell the happy world, Springtime now is dawning.
