In addition to these races, which provide for swimmers of all classes, the club will decide the 200 yards intermediate and junior lnter-club relay championship, no yards junior championship. 50 yards, 220 yards youths' championships, the club divine _ championship,' and an open dive. A water polo match will bo played between North Shore and Eastern Suburbs.

VETERAN'S AMBITION.

LONG HARBOUR JOURNEY.

Owing to unfavourable conditions last Sunday, Mr. J. D. Foster was unable to attempt the eight miles liarboutSEswim from Point Chevalier to Devonpoj-t. He will now essay the task on February'• 19, starting at 9 a.m. ;

It is his ambition to beat bis "own figures of 3h 20m, established 11 years ago, and if successful it will be a remarkable performance •as he is in his 64th year.
