Knowledge of cooking and baking is desirable, but not essential. ASSISTANT STEWARD OR BOY " STEWARD—2 vacaneies for 12 years' continuous service for Assistant Steward. Age limits 18 to 23 years. Twelve years' con- ] tinuous service from age 18 for Boy Steward. Age limits 16 to 18 years. Candidates are required to pass a test in reaoing, writing and simple arithmetic. Candidates must be competent at one of the following trades: Fitter, litter and turner, coppersmith, boilermaker or enginesmitli.
