(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") 1 CHRISTCHURCH, this day. , Although there was' a slightly easier tendency in some Australian- industrials at the morning call of the Stock Exchange to-day the market generally'was firm and inquiry was considerably stronger than it was at the beginning of the week. Only two sales were made this morning. Woolworths (Sydney) had business at £1 2/8 and £1 2/9,' which is a further advance. These shares have figured in transactions every day this week at steadily advancing prices, the shares 1 appreciating about 1/ over the period. | Blount Morgan showed a small advance i to change hands at 10/7. Australian Glass were 6d cheaper at from £5 9/3 to £5 10/0. British Tobaccos were firm at £2 8/6 and £2 9/3. Broken Hills were frac- \ tionally easier with buyers offering £2 17/(> and sellers asking 4d more. Offers for i ibmilop Rubbers were unchanged at £1 0/10. but sellers raised their limits 2d to ' £11/5. Electrolytic Zinc preferences were v 3d cheaper at from £2 9/6 to £2 10/0. > G. J.
