CHEATER STII»L VICTORIOUS. the Technical College Old Boys' Atailetic Club conducted an evening sports meeting at the Auckland Domain yesterday inches covered the first four men in ™ e sprint, the first three being all members of the Mount Albert Club. The conTtevor Baesett was the winner. T-he 300 yards jwoved a. particularly fine race, a.nd, with 20 yards to go, R. W Cheater .burst through in great style to score a most jxxpulor win. With 100 yards to go the. three-quarter mile w*» anybody's race, and tihe University runner E. Nugent won by two yards from P. S. Best, Who beat the veteran, rr£" ® ar t er » by inefhes. Th« fiewi was disappointing for -the walk, only four men facing the starter. The winner proved to be Eric Laird, from a highly promising walker in B.
