ACCIDENT IN BUSH.

ELDERLY MAN KILLED. FILL UNDER WHEELS OF TRUCK. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) ROTORUA, this day. Falling from a bogie of a timber truck on which he was riding, a bush worker aad contractor, Mr. Donald Ewen Morrison, aged «2 years, married, was killed yesterday afternoon. Mr. Morrison was apparently struck by the projecting branch of a tree and fell beneath the wheels of the truck, which, together with others in the rake, was derailed aa a result of the accident. The fatality occurred at Mangorewa, where Mr. Morrison waa engaged upon bush contract work. The wheels of several of the trucks passed over Mr. Morrison, who waa very severely injured •»d died before assistance could be given him. When the Inquest was opened for pnrpoees of identification'in the afternoon Charles Frederick Fugill, Morrison's employer, Mid that Morrison was travellhl up to the bush on a rake of tracks polled by a working locomotive. It was aot naual for mea to travel to the bush to this way, a jigger being provided for the purpoee.
