A QUIET MORNING.

SPRINTS AT AVON DALE. There was not a great deal of galloping at Avondale this morning, where all work was accomplished on the plough, which is in excellent order. High Delight (Parsons) and Silver Eagle (Cameron) were not doing their best to run five furlongs in 1.8 3-5. They began slowly, taking 28 4-5s over the first two furlongs. Both horses look well after their successes at Thames. King Theo (Parsons) was going comfortably alongside Paso Robles (Cameron) at the end of six furlongs, the last five furlongs taking 1.6 3-5, after taking 28 4-5s to run the first two furlongs. King Theo was pulling hard at the finish, and appear? to be thriving on his work. Rival (Ealy) was not allowed to do his best while _ running three furlongs in 41 4-os. This gelding has a lot of pace. „., was a kit too green to show his best at Thames. . a Terre (O. Reed) went pleasingly over three furlongs in 395. He is on the improve Others seen doing useful work were Royal Fawkes, Royal Tray, Valley Maid, Master Appellant, Popeya and Erndale.
