PERSONAL.
Mr. J. F. Ewen returned from the south by the Limited express this morning. Mr. F. N. Ambler will be a passenger for Wellington by the Limited express this evening/ Mr. James Fletcher will be a passenger for Wellington by this evening's Limited express. Mr. George Dryden, of Invercargill, is visiting Auckland. He expects to return south next week. The Rev. Stanley Jenkin, of the New Plymouth Baptist Tabernacle, is on a holiday visit to Auckland. The Rev. P. Houghton, viear of St. Mark's, Remuera, returned from Rotorua to-day after a month's holiday. Sir George Elliot will be a passenger by the Limited express this evening on his way to Wellington, where he will spend a few days. Bishop West-Watson, of Christchurch, passed through Auckland yesterday on his way to Mercury Bay. *He has been on holiday at Paihia, Bay of Islands. Professor W. Riddet, director of the Dairy Research Institute, Palmerston Aorth, was a passenger as far as Frankton by the Limited express from Welligton this morning. Mr. J. S. Bartpn, chairman of the NewZealand Bondholders' Incorporation Commission, who has been on a brief visit to Aucßland, is expected to return south by the Limited this evening. The Hon. W. E. Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs, accompanied by his private secretary, Mr. E. N. G. Poulton, travelled as far as Frankton by the Limited express from Wellington this morning. Mr. W. J. Lyon, member for Waitemata, who left for New Plymouth by train last evening, will pass through Auckland on Friday on his way to Russell, where he will be on holiday during the early part of February.
