BOTH LEGS FRACTURED.

ELDERLY MAN'S INJURIES.

When ha was struck by a taxi as he was crossing the road at the corner of Wellcsley Street and Hobson Street shortly after nine o'clock last night, Mr. James Allen, aged 75, residing at 68, Cook Street, City, bad both legs and one arm fractured. He also suffered concussion and abrasions. When struck he was thrown several feet along the roadway. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by a St. John ambulance. His condition this afternoon was considered fair. '
