Appointed Consul-General at San Francisco. FRIENDSHIP WITH FUEHRER. (Received 12.30 p.m.) BERLIN, January 20. Captain Weidemann lias been appointed Consul-General at San Francisco. Captain Fritz Wiedemann, wlio became Hen - Hitler's aide-de-camp, was born in 1891. He was educated at the Military Academy, Munich, and in 1902 'became a lieutenant. Hitler's wish, becoming very friendly with the Fuehrer, who had served in the same regiment during the war. He was appointed personal adjutant to HenHitler and dealt with most of hie private correspondence and social engagements. During the Czeoh crisis he was sent to Britain to confer with Viscount Halifax, the British Foreign Minister.
