Woods' .Memorial Shield, R. Moore. Mr. A. Merson (president), in thanking Mr. and jlis. Aldridge for their attendance, stated that it was a great pity the club liad to fiispend activities during the summer months, owing to lack of a suitable track. It was hoped, he said, that now the Takapuna Amateur Cycling Club had changed it* name to the North Shore Amateur Cycling Club and transferred its headquarters to Devonport, the Devonport Borough Council might, in the interests of the sport, be able to grant the use of the Devonport Domain for evening track meetings. .Two members of the N.S.A.C.C., W. Kirker and D. Lloyd, journeyed to 1 aeroa, to contest events at the athletic carnival staged there. Kirker was placed in every junior event, including second place in the mile. Lydford was successful in winning the open lap race.
