AUCKLAND CLUB.
FEBRUARY MEETING. The Auckland Trotting Club Has arranged an attractive programme for its me f t «? , at Alexandra Park on Saturday and Wednesday, February 11 and 13, the principal handicap each day being the Otahuhu and Alexandra Park Handicaps, run over two miles, and each of which carries a stake of £400. The limit ia 4.33. Other attractions at the fixture are the Ureat Aortliern Derby, of a mile and a half, to be run on the first day, and the Great Northern Trotting Stakes, one mile, for two-year-olds, to be decided on the concluding day. On the Saturday, the brilliant Van Derby will attempt to lower his own Aw* tralasian record time of 2.1 1-5 for a mile, and, if the conditions are favourable, there is little doubt that new figures for the distance will be established. Nominations for all handicap events (details of which appear elsewhere in this issue) will close with the secretary, Mr. A. G. Mabee, at the office of the club, Durham Street East, on Friday next at 5 p.m.
