A wagon forming part of a mhnd train which left Taumarunui for Stratford about 7.45 this morning wa* derated on the eastern eid* of the Tangs rakau railway station about midday; train affectftl by the de--1*45 p,m. twin from Stratford, which waa held until $ p.m. The express was not dltsiyed and the line escaped damage.
