ZHVXTATION TO MR. RAVAGE. (By T*lp.?ruph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI. this day. It seems probable that the Prime Alinister. Mr. Savage, will perform the official opening of the Whangarei A. " r. ; Society's .".3rd annual stock show on Friday, March 17. At a meeting of the society's executive it was dccided to invite Mr. Savage to officiate in this capacity, and to remain as the guest of the society on the second day of the show. «ppreciate the honour of the invitation and, if circumstances permit, would very much like to accept it," Mr. Savage atated in a letter received by the secretary of the society, Mr. C. P. Butler. "It it, however, a little too early to commit myself." Mr. J. G. Barclay, M.P. for Marsden, is optimistic as to the prospects of the Prime Minister visiting Whangarei for the chow, Mid Mr. Butler to-day.
