An over-counter delivery of town letters (registered as well as ordinary), will be made from the postmen's branch, first floor. Chief I'ost Office, betweeu 7 pm. and S p.m. to-day. A similar delivery will be made at following post offices : Upper Symonds Street. Remuera. Epsom. Kingslaud and ronsonby. There will also lie a special clearance of street receivers at 6 p.m., but there will be no night clearance. The usaial Sunday arrangements will apply on New Year's Day. the night eletirauee of receivers will be made. Monday will be observed as a close holiday. with restricted clearance.- and earlier closing of mails. Monday, January 2 (for New Year's Day).—Will be observed as a close holiday. Letter receivers of certain suburban post offices will be cleared at 3 p.m. Mails ! usually dispatched before 7.15 a.m. will close at 4 a.m.. and those after 7.15 a.m. at the latter hour, with the exception that mails for southern offices for dispatch by the Limited express will clo.-o at the Chief post Office, Auckland, at 5.15 p.m. Late fee.
