WOMEN TO RESCUE.
CAR STUCK IN SAND. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, this day. A p«rty of twelve women saved a motor car from serious damage last evening when it beoamc embedded in wet tvand half way between Maule s and Bayly's Gorges. * The car, containing several occupant* l , was driven by MrMorris, of Xaumai, and was travelling ; along the beach and sank in the wet *and almost to the running boards. The tido was coming in and the position looked hopeless when twelve women out for an evening stroll came upon the ecene. With the tide within a few yard* of the car the tyres were deflated, and through the combined efforts of the women the car was removed to safe
