DEER DESTRUCTION.
EXPERIENCED MEN WANTED. The intensification .of tlie campaign for the destruction of deer in native forests has niado it necessary for tie employment by the Government of additional men in the work. The Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, stated to-day that in the South Island, in particular, where deer were greatly menacing wide stretches of .virgin bush, there was difficulty in obtaining additional men of the right qualifications for the work. "Men of experience in the New Zealand bush, who arc good rifle shots, are needed/' added., Mr. Parry. "It is fine work in the open air for the; right type of man with a sounti constitution, although at times it; is hazardous in the mountain ranges."' . " * ' . '
