WELLINGTON, this day. • Detailed questions about tlie procedure to be followed in applying for export and fmport licenses under the new regulations were put to officers of the Customs Department at a meeting, convened by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. So great was the interest of the business community t'hat the Chamber at the Commerce Hall was unable to hold all those who wished to attend and an adjournment was made to a larger building.
. The president of the chamber, Mr. P. E. Patrick, introduced the Departmental officers, Mr. R. T. G. Patrick, who spoke on export licenses, and Mr. J. P. D. Johnsen, who dealt with import licenses. Both officers answered numerous questions, and at the conclusion were accorded a 'hearty vote of thanks.
