TENNIS VISITORS.
AUSTRALIAN WOMEN. M. HARDCASTLE AND T. RICE. COMPETING IN N.Z. TOURNEYS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day.Two prominent Australian women tennis players, Misses May TTardcastle (Queensland) and Tlielnni Rice (New South WaVs) arrived by the Wanganclla from Sydney on holiday, but they will mix serious- tennis with it. Both intend to play in the Wellington" championships from December 24 to 28, and later in the New Zealand tournament at Christchurch (December 31 to January 7). They arc to be guests of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association.
Mir-v* Hardenstle is -ranked sixth in Australia, while Miss Rice is a New South Wales Stale representative, ranking seventh in the Stale. They will plnv t«,£ethc-r in the women'. 1 imlilcs at 1 hristehiireh.
