DEMAND FOR GRADUATES.
DENTISTRY PROFESSION.
(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.)
DUNEDIST, this day.
In Ins annual report, Dr. R. B. Dodds, Dean of the Faculty of. Dentistry at the Otago .University, states that the demand for young ' graduates remained steady and the prospects for a successful career had never been better. In fact, at the moment, it was difficult to fill all the positions offering, but the situation would he eased somewhat after the May final examinations. The dental profession in.New Zealand, lie said was to an increasing extent comprised of Otago graduates, and in the course of time this national school would have supplied very nearly all the dental surgeons in the Dominion. It was particularly pleasing to note that, with very few exceptions, those who went abroad -returned to the Dominion. In this connection the national importance of travelling scholarships, should again be stressed. It was to be hoped, he concluded, that the University of Acw -Zealand would -rant such a scholarship as had been granted to other faculties.
