Italian journalists with foreign newspapers and apencies will l>c applied firstly to all Italians receiving salary from a foreign newspaper or agency, meaning that about 20 correspondents will have to resign their posts.
Cases of occasional contributors, it is added, will be judged individually on
their merits. The purpose of the regulation, says "The Times" Rome correspondent is clearly to control more closely information sent abroad about Italy.
