A STRANGE HOBBY.

A man in England has a strange hobby. Since the age of 20 he has copied daily, two consecutive pages from some literary or scientific work into a pennv exercise book. As soon as he finishes copying out a work he has these exercise books beautifully bound into volumes. He showed a friend over ~»0 of these volumes in a large bookcase. There was the whole of the bible, as well as Shakespeare, Moliere (in 1' rench). Euclid's '•Elements." Darwin's "Origin of Species." Cervantes* "Don Quixote (in Spanish), and many others. He told his friend he had taught himself languages in this way, besides mathematics. This is one way of making sure of reading through great books at least once.
