THE TUI'S SONG.
(By Eleanor MrKinnon ; age 11!) Original.
Sitting 'neath the rinui tree I hear the liquid notes Of a tui in the valley,
All round the echo floats. T hear liis voice uplifting Towards the deep blue sky. Where bunched like lambs within a fold
The clouds go rushing by. But soon he ends his golden tune,
Leaving silence deep behind, And goes flying off to another tree, Sweet nectar there to find.
