The first half of the Auckland Cricket Association s season will terminate this week, with a special one-day series.

Hie hours of play for Saturday, n? arranged at last night's meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association, will be: —

liist Grade and Senior H. —1.30 to 3..53 p.m.; 4.7 to (>.30 p.m. Lower Grades. —2 to 4.10 p.m.; and 4.20 to 6.30 p.m. Christmas Tourneys.

Stating that it would be engaged in an elimination Hawke Cup fixture, the Taranaki Association regretted its inability to compete in the Auckland provincial tournament, arrangements for which and the Christmas tournament were reported by Mr. Ij. 11. Schnauer to be well in hand. 1 lie secretary (Mr. Price) advised that he jvould be glad to hear from players to participate in the country week tournament.

An offer by the City and Suburban Association umpires to assist oflicially at the country week toui nainnt was accepted, appreciation beiny expressed of the fine spirit involved.

An invitation wan extended to the Canterbury junior representatives to play the Auckland Brabin Cup team on December 29 and 30 at Auckland

It was reported by Mr. Duncan that the secondary schools' committee had agreed to a representative college eleven playing Mr. H. Watson's colts on December 24 at Kden Park.

University was granted permission to tour under the management of Mr. W. Lange during the holidays, when matches are to lie played at Maungakaramea, Kerikeri and Kaikolie. Shield Umpires. •

The New Zealand Council advised tliat Messrs. 1.1. Diehl and G. McDonald would be umpires for the Auckland-Otago match at Dunedin on December .'sl and January 2. 3 and 4, and Messrs. T. W. Burgess and •T. Young for the Auckland-Canterbury match at Christchurch on December 24, 26. 27 anil 28.
