POLO AT PUKEKAWA.
TOURNEY HELD BY NEW CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent ) PUKEKAWA-. Tuesday. Polo enthusiasts from all the surrounding districts gathered together at I'ukekawa for the opening tournament conducted by the newly-formed Club. Held oil tlie property of Mr. T. McGuire. there were 200 spectators. Teams were present from Glentnurra.v. Waerangi. Waimai and Te Akau (Raglan). The last-mentioned team .included K. Henry, one of last year's New Zealand representatives to tour Australia, and J. Shaw. There were 50 high-class ponies in tlie field.
president. Mr. Jaines Slater, welcomed the vi-drors and declared the new club's season officially open. During the day the various teams played chußkas in eight-minute relays. Xo misbaps marred an enjoyable day'a sport*
