WILSON HOME.
CHRISTMAS TREE PARTY. Fairy dancing by the girls of the sixth form of the Takapuna Public School, under the direction of Mrs. Dellow, and carol singing by boy scouts led by Mr. K. J. Dellow, headmaster of the Takapuna Grammar School, were features of the. festivities at the Christmas tree celebrations at the Wilson Home last night.
Scoutmaster Goodwin made an ideal Father Christmas and the children were delighted with his Christmas-time stories. The tree itself was charmingly arranged by an enthusiastic staff and every child received a present. There was much clapping and laughter when Father Christmas presented Mrs. Howitt, who had been herself a patient in hospital for a long period, and Miss Faulconbridpre, the matron, with gifts from the tree. The patients at the home exchanged Christmas greetings with the scouts and fairies who had entertained them so well and gave three cheers for Father Christmas.
Mr. W. K. Howitt. on behalf of the Hospital Board, thanked those who had helped to make the evening so successful.
