GIRLS IN CLOTHING TRADE.

A misunderstanding concerning her reference to requests made to some apprentices to sign for holidays required during the Christmas and New ear periods has arisen, according to Miss A. Coesey, secretary of the Clothing Trade Employees' Union. . Miss Cossey said this morning that emplovees would receive pay for eight days, "including the statutory holidays, in any case, and it was only holidays asked and signed for beyond that which was anxious about, for some of the clothing firms proposed to close down for three weeks.
