JUDGES PELTED WITH TOMATOES.
ASTOUNDING SCENE. Disgruntled Applicant in Appeal Court. SIX WEEKS FOR CONTEMPT. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 12 noon.) LONDON, December 2. An astounding scene occurred in the Court of Appeal when Frank Harrison, after rejection of his application for a new county Court trial, returned t-o the Court as the judges were departing at lunch time. Harrison shouted: "I want justice." Simultaneously he flung several tomatoes at Lord Justices Clanson and Ooddard. The tomatoes missed the judges but burst against the woodwork. A spectator seized Harrison's arm, preveuting him throwing more.
The judges returned to the bench and Lord .Justice Clauson said: "We dealt with the application to the best of our ability," and ordered Harrison six weeks' imprisonment for contempt of Court. Harrison, yelling: "There is no justice left in England," was hustled out.
