PROGRESSIVE LEAGUE.
NORTHCOTE SOCIAL. LAST FOR THIS YEAR. A most useful year of activities was brought to a close in the parish hall by the Xorthcote Women's Progressive League with the "president's afternoon." The large gathering, which was cordially welcomed by the president. Mrs. \V. K. Carter, included representatives from sister organisation-. A boiujiiet was {(resented to the olde»t member present, .Mrs. Marv Archer Whitcombe. who was congratulated on being so active at the age of !♦<) years. The programme, which was greatlv en joyed. comprised piano solos by Mix Keg. Heed, songs by Madame I)e Berg and .Mrs. Rattray. elocut ionarv items by .Mrs. K..K. Pirani. and violin solos by Mis,*. Pauline Mnnro. The accompaniments were played by Mesdames T. doll an<l R. Reed.
