LANCASHIRE SOCIETY.
About 200 members anal friends attenaleal the social Jielal in the Arts Hall last evening. Mr. Smith, the president, welcomed back Mrs. Langabeer, after lier trip Lome, and she was preserrtaal with a Ha>uapiet. Mrs. Bibby was also presented with a bouquet on the occasion of her birthday. Items by Mrs. (iilbert and Master anal Miss Barnes were grgatly enjoyed. The lucky number winners were Mrs. Nccdham, Mrs. Birch, Mr. Carter and Mr. Boyce. The Monte Carlo prizes were won by Mrs. Bibby and Mr. Cocker. The compel it ion was won by Mrs. Haslem and Mr. Young. Mrs. (iml-a 1 was the hostess anal Mr. Oouldin was in charge of the dancing.
