HOSPITAL EXPANSION
MORE LAND NEEDED. AUCKLAND BOARD LOOKS AHEAD. "Posterity will thank us If we carry out this proposal," eaid Mr. G. T. Parvin at last evening's meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board, in moving that the question of incorporating in the hoepital grounds all the land in Grafton and Park Roads abutting on to its property be referred to the finance committee, to report back to the board. Mr. Parvin stated that the investment would pay for iUelf, and when required for hospital purpose* might possibly be a free gift. At all events the rrnts accruing would pay interest and sinking fund on the outlay. Dr. .1. P. Hustings and other member* of the board concurred. Dr. Hastinge stating, however, that in the first place iho board should consult a town-plan-ning expert and the board's joint architects.
