MAORI BOY KILLED.
CAR SOMERSAULTS. UNCLE LATER ARRESTED. ALLEGED INTOXICATION, (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAURAXCA, this day. An eight-year-old Maori boy. Adam Xgarino Tutahi. was killed last night as a result of the capsize of a ear on the Tauranga-Te Puke road, near the Waitao Bridge, eight miles from Tauranga. The car. which was driven liv Hughie Xgarino Tutahi. the boy's uncle, apparently got out of control and turned a somersault, coming to rest in an upright position facing the direction whence it came. Deceased and two other boys were tlr own out of the car, deceased striking hi> head oil the bitumen. He suffered a fracture of the skull and died almost immediately. Ihe police later visited the scene and arrested the driver. Hughie Tutahi was charged this morning with being intoxicated while in charge of a car. He was remanded until Tuesday next, and was released 011 bail. An inquest concerning the boy's death will be held this afternoon.
