An appeal has been formally lodged by the solicitors for Colin Herbert Hercock against the sentence of 12 years' hard labour imposed upon him by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, in the Supreme Court at Napier 011 November 1. Hercock was found guilty of manslaughter after trial on a charge of murdering Mrs. Isobel Annie Aves.
