The Blue Star line steamer Doric Star arrived from (.islwjrne early this niorni 111:. berthing- at Prince's wharf. She is for linal loading here and will await the settlement of the waterside dispute before any work can be done. The A. and A. Line steamer City of Lyons arrived at 12..50 p.m. to-day from Xew York with general cargo, including Christmas goods. She has berthed at the east side of the Central wharf and will be idle pending further developments. Several oversea cargo vessels which were expected to leave for southern ports are all deferred, also the Matua for the Islands. They will sail at the earliest opportunity. The Xe\v_ Zealand Shipping Company's motor liner Rangitiki, which was due to-morrow from Wellington to continue loading for London, has been diverted to Napier, where she is due today. She will now make Auckland her final port and is due here early next week, her date of filial departure being uncertain.

Wanganella, which arrived yesterday from Sydney, is at Prince's wharf, .hut is not being worked. She has 270 passengers 1 x>oked and is expected to tsail at 4 p.m. to-morrow for Sydney. (H.l'.)
