FAREWELL APPEARANCE.

"DESERT SOXG"' COMPANY,

One of the most tuneful, spectacular and generally attractive musical pl aye 0 f the last 20 years, ' Desert Song" will be presented by the talented J. William, son Company at His Majesty's Theatre for the last time this evening. Many -wer unable to gain admission to last evening's performance, so intending patrons are advised to book early at Lewis Eadv's for to-night. George Hancock, the virile baritone, seems somewhat more at home in the role of "Red Shadow" than he was in "Balalaika," and gives a thoroughly entertaining performance, with his "fine voice being heard to advantage in several appealing numbers. Miss Diana Ducane as Margot, the French girl with whom the mvsterio'js horseman falls in love, ig just as attractive as she was in the previous production, although her voice seems a little more suited to the operatic typa of music than that in "Desert Song."' Many of the highlights are provided bv the pair of comedians, Don Xicol and Miss Violet Carlson, both of whom have established themselves firmly as popular favourites. Gaston Mervale, Yvonne Banvard Gwen Brown and Alec Kellaway are ali good in less-important roles.
